Connect Alpaca for U.S. stocks, ETFs, paper trading, and live trading.
Create or open Alpaca
Log in to Alpaca and open the dashboard. Paper and live trading have separate API keys.
Use paper keys first
Copy the Paper Trading API key and secret into the app's paper API fields.
Live keys are separate
Only paste live keys into the live API fields. Turning off paper mode means the app can use real-money trading.
Test connection
Use the app's connection test or refresh account button to confirm buying power and account status.
Trading reminder: Paper mode uses fake money. Live mode uses real money and can lose money. Test thoroughly before enabling live trading.
